Birkin Sportscars continue to dominate the PRB one make series. At the recent Eastern Creek meeting (September 15 & 16) the Birkins of Lynton Wettone and David Grant notched up three consecutive 1st and 2nd placing’s amongst a field of 14 cars consisting of 6 Birkins and 8 PRB’s. The Birkin of Ivan Strejber placed third in the penultimate 12 lapper with the Stig driving a PRB S2 finishing a creditable fourth.

The previous importer of Birkin cars, PRB Australia, operate a one make race series open to any PRB S2, PRB Composite or Birkin S3 (to end 2005) and all future PRB models with either a CAMS 2B or 2A logbook, subject to acceptance by PRB Motorsport.
The exclusivity of the series is breathtaking as it has seen a decline in participants in the Clubman Challenge, a category of the New South Wales CAMS Motor Race Championship specifically introduced to promote Clubman racing. The SCCA is the organizing body for the Clubman Challenge and is currently seeking input to open up the series to promote increased participation and diversity in racing. Failure to grow entries in either of the series may result in their decline and abandonment!
Stay tuned for further developments...
